Touch generally plays an important role in pain managemen. Just as our ancient ancestors used their hands to reduce or even eliminate their pain, manual therapy acts on physical pain in order to relieve it.

Our Multidisciplinary Therapeutic Clinic at the Orchidée de l'Outaouais offers our clients various services such as osteopathy, massage therapy, fasciatherapy, physiotherapy and accuponcture. We also offer school clinics that allow our students to practice their techniques and student clinics that give our students the chance to complete their required hours in the clinic.

What we offer

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a manual therapy based on current anatomical and physiological knowledge. Structural osteopathy addresses only mechanical problems in the functioning of the human body. The osteopath seeks to restore the elastasticity qualities of the connective tissue (fascia, joint capsule, tendon, ligament, periosteum ...) to regain optimal functioning. Thus, osteopathy does not deal with organic problems in the field of medicine, nor with emotional or energetic problems. Usually, osteopathy, when practiced in its field of competence, should improve your state of health in 2 or 3 sessions maximum. Beyond this time, you will need to change your therapeutic approach by consulting a physiotherapist, and/or chiropractor and/or acupuncturist.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is a manual approach with a muscular focus that includes a multitude of techniques.

The work can be done over clothing or directly on the skin and the techniques can be performed with or without oil.

Massage therapy is for people of all ages (from babies to the elderly) and has many benefits such as: relaxation of the nervous system, lymphatic system, increase in blood circulation, work on trigger points.
